The approach to systems development and the movement of data and information has evolved over the past twenty years. At its most simplistic the approach has evolved from the design and development of large single systems that require organisations that interact to input their data and information, to considering how a decentralised approach can be applied.

A much more scalable and resilient approach is that supply chain data will reside in multiple different platform data stores, even for a single supply chain pathway. A scalable traceability framework must be able to “join the dots” by linking data across independent and decentralised platforms without requiring any supply chain actor to use more than one solution. 

We envisage there will be highly scalable approach to digitisation and trust that will be based on verifiable credentials, linked data, and decentralised identifiers.

We can provide implementation guidance and tools to facilitate the movement to digital exchange for market access both domestically and across borders while also being compatible with existing paper systems.​
